In a landmark achievement for Ethiopia’s industrial sector, Ahadu Gil Construction P.L.C. has saved an estimated $1.85 million USD in foreign currency within a single year through its local marble and granite production initiative.
By replacing imported materials with high-quality, locally manufactured stone, the company not only strengthens Ethiopia’s self-reliance but also supports job creation and economic growth.
The company’s operations currently provide over 100 direct jobs and 400+ indirect opportunities for suppliers, transporters, and artisans.
“Our goal is not just to manufacture stone but to build a sustainable industry that benefits the nation as a whole,” said the company’s CEO.
This milestone reflects Ahadu’s commitment to innovation, sustainability, and national economic empowerment.
